The activities documented in this site are designed to stimulate interest and excitement across all STEM disciplines through hands-on fun activities that are relevant to everyday life or to bigger global issues. Activities are pitched at an appropriate level for secondary school students and are linked to the Science curriculum.

Instructors who act as activity leaders are expected to have a background in Science (either as staff or students in a Higher Education Institution). They will lead the activity at Science engagement events involving secondary school students, including open days, school visits, science festivals and career evenings.

Activities are grouped according to the four STEM disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. The resources available in each of the activity sections are intended to help the activity leader prepare for the engagement event, by preparing the physical environment, rehearsing the demonstration, and sourcing any materials.

It is not expected that students would directly engage with this section of the site, although they are invited to post their story and engage directly with Science experts in the Student section.
